It was a deadline day to remember for Manchester United fans as the club were set to announce the signings of Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind.
As the Morning Star went to press, neither deals had been confirmed by the club but it is thought that they would be completed by time the transfer window closed at 11pm yesterday.
Blind joins for £13.8 million from Ajax and was a key member of Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands side which reached the semi-finals of the 2014 World Cup.
