Pyongyang praises but denies Sony cyber-attack
North Korea insists it didn't take revenge on technology giant

NORTH Korea denied responsibility for a cyber-attack on technology giant Sony today — but praised those who carried it out.

A hacking attack last week disrupted US-based Sony Pictures’s computer system and leaked confidential information onto the internet.

Sony and the US pointed the finger at Pyongyang, which is unhappy at a film the firm is producing depicting an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
