MEN’S BASKETBALL: OG Anunoby netted with less than two seconds to go as the New York Knicks came from 29 points down to beat San Antonio 107-106 this morning and take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven NBA Finals. Jalen Brunson top-scored with 36 points for the Knicks and Anunoby weighed in with 33 as they recorded the biggest ever comeback in Finals history. The fifth match tips off in San Antonio early on Sunday. 

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Regular season table-toppers Northampton have home advantage over Leicester in tomorrow evening’s first English Premiership semi-final play-off. The Saints finished 11 points clear of fourth-placed Leicester but their East Midlands neighbours inflicted one of only three league defeats that they suffered all season. Reigning champions Bath, in their third consecutive play-off, are up against Exeter in tomorrow’s other last four clash.

HORSE RACING: S’manga Khumalo, South Africa’s first black champion jockey, has been handed a 10-year ban after being found guilty of race-fixing. The 40-year-old, who hadn’t seen a horse before he was 14, has ridden more than 2,300 winners. He was the first black jockey to win the Durban July Handicap, South Africa’s premier race, and represented the Rest of the World team in the Shergar Cup meeting at Ascot.

MEN’S CRICKET: Defending champions Nottinghamshire put County Championship Division One’s only remaining unbeaten record on the line against Somerset when the latest round of matches start tomorrow. Third-placed Warwickshire are just five points off the pace before they visit Yorkshire while bottom club Leicestershire host Essex and Sussex take on Glamorgan. Surrey moved second after drawing their game with Hampshire on Wednesday.
