Love Tomorrow (PG)
Directed by Christopher Payne
3 Stars
Eve (Cindy Jourdain) is wandering around the tube in a traumatised state when she encounters Oriel (Arionel Vargas) in London's Camden Town. He clearly has designs and, certain she's a dancer like him, he pursues her.
Even though she's clearly otherwise preoccupied, they embark on a trip round all the capital's principal cultural sites.
In the resultant bitter-sweet journey, many issues emerge - personal losses, career-damaging stories and professional jealousy from a legion of no-marks.
Yet this all comes across as a dreamscape which only comes convincingly to life when they dance, since both are professionals in the art form.
True to its meandering nature, the film takes time to have a dig at Cuba - the place that provided Vargas with the training to take such opportunities as this.
