VIGILS took place across Scotland over the weekend calling for the release of almost 300 Palestinian children currently being held in Israeli prisons, including 16-year-old Palestinian Ahed Tamimi.
Ms Tamimi’s arrest last month sparked global outcry and shone a spotlight on Israel’s systematic prosecution of children, some as young as 12, in military courts.
The vigils, organised by the Palestine Alliance collective, took place in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee amid promises by Palestinian rights groups to step up their efforts to end Israel’s abuse of children.
