A MAN has been stabbed outside the Home Office headquarters in central London.
The victim, said to be in his sixties, was stabbed at about 1pm on Marsham Street, Westminster.
Images circulating online appear to show the wounded man bleeding from his stomach, with a ripped shirt.
The man walked into the Home Office to seek help and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police at the scene arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of CS spray.
A Home Office spokesperson said: “The Metropolitan Police is investigating a knife attack which took place outside the Home Office this afternoon. The victim is receiving medical care.
“This is a deeply concerning incident and our thoughts are with him and his family.
“As this is an ongoing investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
