Freed from the constraints of the EU, the Tories will declare war on our rights
by Chris Stephens

THE parallels between the current predicaments facing both the Conservative government and that of the Lannister family in Game of Thrones will not be lost on the millions of fans of that popular drama.

The government are the Lannisters and the rest of King’s Landing make up the rest of the Conservative Party — under the control of zealots and fanatics more interested in purity of ideology and basic power struggles ensuring nothing gets done while the populace suffer.

While we can only speculate about the real-life identity of the High Sparrow, the resemblance is uncanny.
