CHINESE President Xi Jinping disclosed yesterday that he has stressed the need for a “peaceful” resolution to tensions over North Korea in a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.
He told the Xinhua news agency that China remains committed to denuclearising the Korean peninsula and to its peace and stability.
Beijing holds that the issue should be solved through peaceful means, Mr Xi said, adding that his country is ready to maintain communication and co-ordination with the US on the issue.
