‘Political kids cast as extremist’

A “CRAZY” government anti-radicalisation scheme is casting kids as extremists just for engaging in politics, the National Union of Teachers said yesterday.

The Prevent strategy has led to young people being reported to the police for comments in class discussions and for wearing pro-Palestine badges, the union said.

It was introduced under the last Labour government, but has been rapidly expanded since David Cameron became PM.
