Tories MPs call for Heseltine to go after rebellion threat

LORD HESELTINE should be sacked for vowing to lead a rebellion against the government over Brexit, Tory MPs blasted yesterday.

The former Conservative deputy prime minister said he would support an opposition amendment when peers debate the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill and demanded that MPs be allowed to vote on any deal agreed with the EU.

But Tory MPs have warned that backing the move increases the possibility of a legal challenge over Brexit and called for him to be sacked as a government adviser.
