Magical Snow White for all ages

Snow White
Lawrence Batley Theatre
Huddersfield/Touring
4/5

THERE’S a surprisingly thin line to tread between the Brothers Grimm and Disney and it’s one that BalletLORENT imperceptibly passes about 15 minutes into its adaptation of Snow White.

The tonal shift from a cast of local children gambolling innocently in the palace gardens to the queen turning “yellow and green with envy and despair” is as subtly handled as anything in this family-friendly show.
