Network Rail’s East Coast engineers vote to strike

ENGINEERS serving the East Coast Main Line have voted overwhelmingly for strikes in a bitter dispute over back pay that has left one being owed £60,000, their union announced yesterday.
The 80 maintenance and safety staff employed by Network Rail are up in arms over owed payments after the company failed to honour annual incremental grade payments for up to 10 years.
