Unison Conference: ‘Improving workers’ rights is the priority if we remain’
Brexit will threaten pensions, jobs and services, delegates told

A VOTE to remain in the European Union should be seized on as a “mandate to improve working conditions further,” Jeremy Corbyn told Unison conference yesterday.

In a last-ditch plea for Labour voters to flock to the polls to stay in, Mr Corbyn warned that leaving could jeopardise workers’ rights and thousands of jobs.

And asked by the Star in an interview about the dangers of the EU’s dodgy Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) with the US, Mr Corbyn said Britain would sign up to something worse outside the EU.
