Workers ‘could pay the price for Brexit with falling wages’
WORKERS risk “paying the price for Brexit,” the TUC said yesterday as new figures showed pay growth slowing and benefit claimant numbers on the rise.
The jobless total fell to 1.6 million in the quarter to September, the lowest since 2006, and the number of people in work has increased by 461,000.
The Office for National Statistics said there were “signs that the labour market might be cooling, with employment growth slowing.”
