Black activists launch campaign to get US film on university race relations into theatres

BLACK activists have launched a campaign against cinemas which refuse to screen a satirical film entitled Dear White People.

A petition, backed by hundreds yesterday and launched by Black Activists Rising Against Cuts (Barac), is calling on cinemas to screen the award-winning 2014 US film, which is due for British release on July 10.

Currently no British cinemas have agreed a standard seven-day run of the film, with only a handful opting for limited release.
