McDonnell set to headline Morning Star conference

SHADOW chancellor John McDonnell will deliver the opening address at the 2017 Scottish Morning Star spring conference in Glasgow this weekend.

The Collective Bargaining, Collective Strength: Building Unity Against Cuts and Casualisation conference takes place at the STUC building, 333 Woodlands Rd on Sunday, bringing together trade unionists, politicians and campaigners to build a united front for trade union rights.

Conference chairwoman Roz Foyer, senior Scottish organiser at Unite, said she was “delighted” Mr McDonnell would be coming.
