There is some cracking racing today with big handicaps across the board at Newmarket and Ripon and of course Hungerford Stakes this afternoon at Newbury.

I love a wager on a big sprint handicap and the Great St Wilfrid (3.55), which follows the consolation at 3.25, looks a cracker at Ripon.

On this fast ground, high numbers (those drawn near side), could be favoured. But I am going to go right against the grain and suggest that Fendale (drawn one) may upset the apple cart in the first of those races.
