China blows US human rights record to pieces
Beijing hits back at Washington’s report alleging widespread abuses

CHINA went head-to-head with Washington yesterday as it released a report on US human rights hypocrisy.

The Human Rights Record of the United States in 2014 was released by the Information Office of the State Council, China’s cabinet, in response to 2014 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices, which was issued by the US State Department on Thursday.

Washington accused Beijing of repressing opposition activists and holding tens of thousands of political prisoners.
