PART-TIME workers and those on maternity leave in education are facing discrimination, a report by the teachers’ union NASUWT revealed yesterday.
In one of many cases cited, a part-time teacher of German had her contract terminated just before a round of full-time language teaching roles were advertised.
She was not offered a job-share and was told she could be fairly dismissed as she had less than two years’ service.
