Yemen: Clashes between Houthis and Saudis leaves 55 dead

YEMENI security and health officials said yesterday that 55 people had been killed over two days of fighting between Houthi rebels and Saudi invasion forces.

The officials said 70 people were also wounded in the fighting over the past 48 hours in the provinces of Taiz, Bayda and Marib.

The Shi’ite rebels, backed by the Yemeni Republican Guard, reportedly captured the village of Maghaniya in the southern province of al-Lahj yesterday morning.
