Boro’s poor away form continues at Tottenham

Spurs 1-0 Middlesbrough
by Samantha Miller
at White Hart Lane

SPURS got back to winning ways, beating a defensive Middlesbrough side 1-0 on Saturday thanks to Harry Kane.

Son Heung Min was taken down in the box, giving Kane the chance to convert from the spot.

Boro have only won one away game this season and Spurs ground out a result to make sure it stayed that way.

Tottenham were without the injured Danny Rose at left back but Kyle Walker had bundles of joy down the right-hand side putting crosses into the box.

Two players that complemented each other’s game were midfielders Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama — the latter clearly enjoying the pairing.

But there are still nine points between top of the table Chelsea and second-place Spurs, with the west Londoners’ winning ways making it tough for the men in white to close the gap.
