Oxford Union president arrested on rape charges

THE president of the prestigious Oxford Union debating society has been arrested for the alleged rape of two students.

Ben Sullivan, a final-year student in history and politics at the university, was taken into custody after two women came forward with complaints on Wednesday. 

“A 21 year-old man from Oxford was arrested this morning on suspicion of rape and attempted rape,” said a spokesman for Thames Valley Police on the day.
