ASLEF has suspended three days of strike action against rail franchise Southern next week after the company agreed to talks.
The train drivers’ union and Southern will meet tomorrow under the joint chairmanship of TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady and seperate rail operator Abellio’s humanresources director Andy Meadows.
In a joint statement, Ms O’Grady and Mr Meadows said: “We are committed to finding a fair solution to this dispute. We are pleased the parties have agreed to meet for meaningful talks.”
