JEREMY CORBYN has urged progressives from across Europe to unite against the “populist right,” calling for socialism to be at the heart of European politics.
At a meeting of the Party of European Socialists council in Prague on Saturday, Mr Corbyn warned of the “alarming acceleration in the rise of the populist right,” pointing to the rise of Ukip in Britain, Donald Trump in the United States, Jobbik in Hungary and Marine Le Pen’s National Front in France.
