Little decency among Tories

IF THERE were an ounce of decency in the serried ranks of Tory MPs, John McDonnell would have met a tidal wave of backing for his heart-felt plea on behalf of disabled people.

Tory disabled rights campaigner Graeme Ellis has already expressed the disquiet felt by many in his party by closing down the Conservative Disability Group website in protest at the cuts being imposed on personal independence payments (PIP).

But his parliamentary colleagues, on £74,000 a year, plus generous office, staff, travelling and accommodation expenses, appear unmoved.
