Bolivia: Marginal defeat means no 4th term for Morales team
BOLIVIAN voters have narrowly rejected a proposal to remove presidential term limits in a national referendum.
With 99.5 per cent of polling stations declared on Tuesday, the No vote stood at 51.3 per cent and the Yes at 48.7, a margin of 160,000 votes.
A Yes vote would have allowed Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) President Evo Morales and Vice-President Alvaro Garcia to seek office again in 2019.
