MEMBERS of rail union Aslef vowed to rally behind the RMT yesterday in its battle with Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) over the jobs of train guards, writes Keith Richmond in Aviemore.
Delegates at Aslef’s conference voted unanimously to send a letter of solidarity to transport union RMT, which was moved by Chris Sneddon from Wimbledon.
He said: “They’re coming after the RMT now and they’ll be coming after Aslef next.
“We need to stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in the RMT.”
