Baby among 6 dead in PKK police bomb

KURDISTAN Workers’ Party (PKK) rebels attacked a Turkish police station on Wednesday night, killing six people and injuring 39.

One police officer was killed and six injured when the guerillas detonated a car bomb in the town of Cinar before opening fire with rocket launchers and firearms.

The wife of a police officer and their five-month-old baby, who were staying in lodgings at the station, were killed in the attack in the majority-Kurdish Diyarbakir province.
