Peace campaigner calls for Labour action against Trident
Walter Wolfgang tells party activists to target policy forum over nuclear weapons

Veteran peace campaigner Walter Wolfgang urged party activists to mobilise opposition to Trident nuclear weapons at Labour’s National Policy Forum in July.

“We might carry this at the policy forum,” Mr Wolfgang told the Conway Hall meeting of the Campaign for Labour Party Democracy (CLPD) at the weekend.

Labour national executive member Ann Black pleaded with unions to break with their usual practice of voting down amendments opposing Trident.
