Government helicopters and warplanes carried out overnight air strikes on the town of al-Bab in Syria’s Aleppo province, causing several deaths, activists said yesterday.
Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights director Rami Abdurrahman said there had been 10 strikes, including seven barrel bombs dropped from helicopters, on the town controlled by Islamic State (Isis) extremists.
He said that at least 21 people had been killed and more than 100 wounded.
