Bolivians detain boss of crash airline
BOLIVIAN prosecutors detained the head of the charter airline on Tuesday whose plane crash in Colombia last week wiped out a Brazilian football team.
Gustavo Vargas, a retired Bolivian air force general, was picked up in Santa Cruz along with a mechanic and secretary who worked at LaMia airline.
Prosecutors where probing whether negligence on the company’s part led to the disaster that killed 71 people.
