UN endorses Falklands waters claim by Argentina
Ruling not binding, says No 10

BRITAIN tried yesterday to downplay a United Nations ruling backing Argentina’s claim to waters around the disputed Falkland Islands.

Buenos Aires hailed the decision by a UN commission upholding its claim in the South Atlantic as a “historic occasion.”
