EU vote row ‘will delay referendum’

DAVID CAMERON faces an embarrassing EU referendum delay over his refusal to allow 16 and 17-year-olds a vote, Labour predicted yesterday.

The PM is set to throw out a Lords amendment to extend the franchise when the EU Referendum Bill returns to the Commons today.

However, doing so could set back the vote further if Labour and Lib Dem peers reinstate it when it returns to the upper house and further “ping-pong” continues.
