Hammond’s Budget: more of the same

CHANCELLOR Philip Hammond rejected demands yesterday to use his spring Budget this week to lessen the squeeze on households and public services.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) is expected to announce improved growth predictions for 2017, from 1.4 to 1.9 per cent.
