Unions insist workers musn’t ‘pay the price’ for Brexit vote

PROTECTING workers’ rights must be the “first priority” as Britain leaves the European Union, unions said yesterday.

TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady, who backed the Remain campaign, said workers “must not pay the price” for the decision to leave.

“As the UK prepares to leave the European Union, the first priority now is to protect jobs and defend the living standards of working people,” she said.
