Bosses studiously ignore EU elephant

“IF YOU’RE president of the CBI and there’s a moth flying around the Prime Minister, do you (a) kill it, (b) catch it or (c) ignore it?”

So asked Paul Drechsler in a noble attempt to liven up yesterday’s CBI snoozefest at the Grosvenor House Hotel. He chose, of course, option C. But at least the flitting red gatecrasher got its five minutes of fame as Theresa May proclaimed her love of capitalism.

The platform was more successful at ignoring something much bigger — Britain’s vote to leave the EU.
