Turkey: Police crush rally for Kurdish talks
Police shot rubber bullets at and arrested protesters in Istanbul yesterday after 200 people rallied against a government crackdown on majority-Kurdish cities.

The demonstration called by the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) attracted more police than participants.

Protesters called for the resumption of talks between the government and imprisoned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Ocalan.
