PRIME Minister David Cameron rejected the latest proposals from Brussels yesterday on reforming migrant benefits as “not good enough.”
Senior EU officials are offering an “emergency brake” on social security which would grant governments the power to temporarily prevent EU migrants from accessing welfare.
It is believed that the mechanism would be available to all EU states and power would lie with them to activate the law if they declared migration levels were high enough to put strain on public services and welfare systems.
