Isis kills all 24 men in recaptured SDF village

ISLAMIC State (Isis) recaptured a village from the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) yesterday — and killed every remaining man in it.

Hamoud Almousa, a member of citizen journalist group Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently, which exposes Isis atrocities, said most villagers had fled al-Bouweir when Isis took it back, but the 24 men who stayed behind were massacred for “not defending Islam” when the SDF had liberated it earlier in the summer.

There was no word on whether any women or children had remained in the village and, if so, what Isis had done to them.

Another village in the region, al-Ghandour, lost 28 civilians, including seven children, to a US-led coalition air strike against Isis, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
