Fresh clashes claim at least 300 lives
Fighting flares between government and opposition forces

HUNDREDS have reportedly been killed in renewed fighting between government factions in South Sudan, it emerged yesterday.

The battle between gunmen from President Salva Kiir’s Sudanese People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and sacked Vice-President Riek Machar’s loyalists broke out on Friday in the north-eastern town of Pajut in Jonglei province.
