Turkey: Immunity Bill lays prosecution threat on pro-Kurd MPs

THE Turkish parliament passed an Act yesterday to strip 138 opposition MPs of their legal immunity, opening the way to their prosecution on terror charges.
A total of 376 deputies in the 550-seat assembly in Ankara voted in favour of the government-backed Bill, avoiding a referendum on the constitutional change.
