McDonnell sounds alarm as studies point to faltering growth
JOHN McDONNELL warned yesterday that Tory inaction following the Brexit vote is catapulting Britain into another recession.
The shadow chancellor’s comments came as two separate studies revealed mounting fears of job losses and growing concerns among both employees and employers.
A report from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) think tank said there is a 50-50 chance of the country falling into recession in the next 18 months.
