UN: Security council calls for aid to reach Aleppo

UN SECURITY council members voted unanimously yesterday for unconditional immediate access for the United Nations and its partners to deliver humanitarian aid to Aleppo.

Russia stipulated that the observers must abide by international humanitarian law and take into account Syrian government approval.

The security council decision was taken after al-Qaida-linked forces in Idlib provinces ended their terrorist attacks on buses sent to evacuate civilians from the pro-government villages of Foah and Kefraya.
