ACTIVISTS called on the UN Education Summit to ensure access to education for children despite Covid disruptions.
Delegates to the summit on Monday in New York said that the pandemic could set back the education of children around the world and demanded the restoration of educational budgets slashed when the virus hit.
The summit on transforming education, held at the UN general assembly ahead of the annual leaders’ meeting this week, called on the world’s nations to ensure that children everywhere from sub-Saharan Africa to the United States don’t fall behind.
