Afghanistan beat Pakistan for first time in their history

AFGHANISTAN beat Pakistan in an ODI for the first time in their history with a stunning eight-wicket win at the World Cup.

Jonathan Trott’s side were dominant, with Ibrahim Zadran hitting a match-winning 87 off 113 balls and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (65) and Rahmat Shah (77) backing him up.

Chasing 283 to win, they raced to 286 for two with six balls to spare after Pakistan had won the toss and chosen to bat.
