Almost 400 fast food delivery workers to strike over a real terms pay cut

NEARLY 400 workers delivering supplies to Burger King and other fast food giants will strike over plummeting take-home pay, their union GMB announced today.

The union said a majority of its members who are drivers at Best Food – which ships ingredients to chains including KFC, Pizza Hut and Wagamama – voted in favour of walkouts which could hit supplies over the busy festive period.

Shareholders at the logistics firm, which also works with Pizza Express and Zizzi, are “trousering large dividends while those who do the graft are struggling,” GMB charged.
