RAIL union RMT has confirmed that a strike by workers in Edinburgh will go ahead on Wednesday after its members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the walkout.

Industrial action will take place at Edinburgh Waverley, the main station in the Scottish capital, after concerns were raised about a culture of bullying and harassment faced by on-train catering staff.

The RMT says that Rail Gourmet workers based at the station have given their full backing to the strike, which is due to end at 6am Thursday morning. There will be a picket line on Market Street on Wednesday.
