Scottish Borders Housing Association workers secure pay deal

SCOTTISH Borders Housing Association (SBHA) workers have secured a boost to jobs, pay and conditions, their union announced today.

Unite has negotiated a 5.5 per cent basic pay rise for about 160 workers at the Selkirk-based organisation, plus an 8 per cent increase in stand-by payments and an additional holiday on St Andrew’s Day.

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: “Unite has delivered a decent wage win for our SBHA membership.
