Mahle Engine Systems workers to vote on strike action

UNION members at Mahle Engine Systems have blasted bosses at its Kilmarnock site for not giving staff the same pay rise and are voting on strike action.

Unite the union confirmed that over 120 members based at the engineering firm are being balloted for strike action in the pay dispute, with the ballot closing on April 25.

The dispute started after the firm failed to apply a supplementary top-up worth 6.8 per cent to the entire Kilmarnock workforce in addition to a 3.4 per cent increase agreed in January 2023.
