Mental Health must take priority, says Scottish Labour
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, who has urged the candidates to succeed Nicola Sturgeon to make mental health a "top priority".

SCOTTISH Labour Leader Anas Sarwar has called for mental health to be a top priority for the Scotland’s next first minister.

Men make up almost three-quarters of all apparent suicides in Scotland — 5,572 out of 7,576 between 2012 and 2021 — something the Men’s Shed Association (UKMSA) aims to tackle by reducing loneliness and isolation, particularly in older men.

The association currently runs 552 so-called sheds, community spaces where attendees socialise and work on projects together, across Britain.
